Helen, GA – Helen County High School

Helen is a mountain town located in the Northeast part of Georgia, surrounded by a number of small cities that are no more than 20 minutes away from each other. Because of this, at times a lot of them would share schools, churches, representatives, amongst other things.

In the South, but especially Georgia, a big culture is the gossip; in conversations with Georgia small town residents, they discussed how easy the work could carry across towns. Since towns would share schools and churches, they would be able to communicate with their friends weekly and talk.

As for High School students, there weren't a lot of opportunities and places to hang out. For Helen, GA, these places are Circle K and Kwik Sak.

Although the School Day starts at 8:15am and ends at 3:40pm, students can arrive from 6:00am onward. Many students would arrive early, to either meet for a School Extracurricular, hang out with friends, or because they had to take the School Bus.

The individual classrooms were usually between 20-30, with more specialized classes ranging from 10-15.
